By Kerolyn Ramos
Review: Thays Nunes
Doctoral student Kerolyn Garcia and professor Matheus Assis, participated as volunteers in activities to alleviate the problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic, promoted by Juventude de Gaia, from Vila Nova de Gaia City Council, in Portugal. The solidarity initiative also caught the attention of the Prime Minister of Portugal, António Costa, who was present to learn about the project.
UniSER/UnB employees developed activities such as telephone contact with the elderly to check the well-being of the senior population, awareness of the importance of using the mask to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and making disposable masks for distribution
