The Action Project: UniSER's Contribution in Times of Pandemic is now also part of the International Virtual Senior University (USV) platform. The platform, developed by the Senior Universities Network (RUTIS), brings together initiatives from different countries to enable seniors who are at home to continue learning, socializing and sharing their knowledge.

The USV platform, which is free and open to access, offers classes and courses on subjects such as languages, gardening, technology, yoga, history, literature and, since last month, it has also included direct access to classes provided by UniSER/UnB.

Action Project

With the objective of helping the elderly to better face the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Aging at the University of Brasília (UniSER/UnB) implemented this project through educational actions developed with the use of digital technologies: classes live online and posts of informative material.

Taught by PhD professors, masters and specialists in the most diverse areas of knowledge, the online classes cover topics such as mental and physical health, healthy eating, Covid-19 and its consequences, art therapy, fake news and many others. In its new phase, it also offers short courses, which lead the public to discussions beyond Coronavirus. Classes take place via Facebook (/PortalUniSERUnB) from Monday to Friday, lasting 1 hour, always starting at 3 pm.
