Father José Coelho Social Center
According to the official website of the Centro Social Padre José Coelho, it is a Private Institution of Social Solidarity that emerged by public deed ofAugust 12, 1981.
"It all started with the altruistic hand of Father José Francisco Coelho, who stood out for his solidary spirit and his avid desire to help the people of the Earth who saw him born. He left a message of hope engraved on the house he asked to build, envisioning a space based on the preservation of cultural tradition and created for people. Slowly, but with decisive steps, it grew and gained an increasingly important place in the community of Fiães".
Seeking to continue this beautiful message, the objective of the space is to promote the well-being and quality of life for the elderly, "ensuring the development of people, in the fight against poverty and social exclusion".
